Aniplex of America and the SAO faithful came out in full force on Saturday, September 15th to the historic Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood, CA, to celebrate the return of Sword Art Online! This special screening premiered the first episode of the third season of the series, Sword Art Online: Alicization, ahead of its official release date in October. The event was part of a worldwide celebration that included special screenings in Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Korea and Russia.





The Hollywood premiere event had an amazing turnout, with fans taking home a plethora of giveaways, including a set of stickers, an SAO Integral Factor clear file courtesy of Bandai Namco Games and a limited edition Kirito sketch board by Alicization director, Manabu Ono. Aside from the freebies, fans began lining up hours before the doors opened to take advantage of the opportunity to purchase exclusive Alicization goods, as well as merchandise from the entire SAO franchise.





The Montalbán Theatre is located in Hollywood, CA and hosts a variety of events from rooftop movies to film festivals and the Anime Awards.
